Italian Sausage Pepper & Onion Sandwich

IMG_3331.JPG
Saturday Mom & I Made a special trip to Joe Pace & Sons in Saugus Ma. to stock up on some of our favorite Italian ingredients which included a few pounds of Italian small link sausage! Within minutes of arriving home the Zizzita (sausage) peppers and onions were fried and fixed between freshly Sliced Sclafani Italian Bread. Zizzita Sandwiches are easy to prepare and make a delicious meal or snack anytime of day!

  2. Wow; been awhile since I drooled on the GMG web page, Felicia. But, this is so Italian, so New England, so amazing looking. I have a weakness for Sausage, onion and pepper sandwiches at the local fair. This looks fairly easy to duplicate, except for what appears to be a bit of magic spice added to the peppers and onions. Is that Oregano? Come on, Felicia, divulge the secrets of this beauty.
