  1. Awesome! You got a shot of the Blue Duck and the Rubber Duck! You must have flown right over us and I never heard a thing.

  2. Shot and edited IN AN AFTERNOON. You out did yourself! True mastery at work.
Thanks for providing unparalleled video-coverage by land and sea of Gloucester’s beautiful harbor and launch of the Gloucester Schooner Festival

    1. From your view the Blue Duck will be easy to pick out since the red canvas Bimini top (Sue whipped it up) is rare. That and a radar arch covered with rubber ducks is a good tip-off. If you come down to fifty feet I will throw a rubber duck towards it (picture slow-mo tumbling duck rising from the sea …) and of course will not come close since I can’t wind up on a boat and I am not left handed. Chariots of Fire theme music will work.

    1. Paul, I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to get in closer of course, but with the Coast Guard there, I figured not. As tempting as It was, and knowing my gear, I chose to stay pretty far away and get what I could without endangering the vessel or people on it. Now if I see Paul Morrison out there this weekend, he’s getting buzzed at 3 ft over head!!

  3. We went for Sushi and some brews at The Studio afterwards but Rubber Duck got carded. She was pissed. Since I had two drafts I let her drive through the cut which made her happy.

      1. Does it seem like I just learned how to do captions? Watch for my Rubber Duck comment caption compilation in the bookstores soon!

  4. Good work shooting Gloucester Harbor’s activity this week! Loved the way you started the video (at a working dock) and then zoomed out to the water. You can see everything (including my house). The curve of the horizon has an all-encompassing effect. Excellent use of the drone technology.

    1. Hey Bill. I can stay up for about 17 minutes at a time. I shot the opening shot at Joey’s, then went down to the paint factory to shoot it’s arrival. Great guessing!
