Dave says,

We have a special treat for all our fans this week as I drag in The Good Old Salty Jazz Band kicking and screaming and begging for mercy. Do not miss this. We have reached our rendezvous with destiny.
These special gentlemen are the mainstay of the North Shore’s blistering pre-war musical scene, and have been regaling fans for more than 60 years. I have been privileged to be their bassist for 3 years now, replacing a tubaist whose left lung exploded out his nose, right there at the Senior Center. The Gloucester Fire Dept. has since removed all traces and hosed out the appropriate area. Now they’re stuck with me! We’ve got banjo, guitar, bass, drums and five horns, led by the incredible, redoubtable, Mr. Gid Loring.
Hold the elephants, Sabu, I’m not done yet. But seriously, I kid, but the truth is these guys are a national treasure and deserve your usual rabid attention. You of all people ought to really appreciate the timelessness of what they’re putting down. We’ll be playing all your favorite hits from 1910 on, mostly trad jazz, tinpan alley and the great American Schlongbook. I wouldn’t miss it for the world! Grab a dancing partner and swing by the whites of her knuckles!
And, as usual, thank you for your continued support in our musical quest for Valhalla. We’re nothing without you.
