Beautiful photos amazing composition. Was something white diving next to the mallard duck? A splash? The ducks wing up almost seems to be saying ~ get away this is my Kim Smith shot!

Yes Mary, I had just finished filming the swans and had put my video camera away when this sweet mallard came on the scene. I am always photographing while filming and she stayed long enough to get this shot. So glad you noticed the white feather!

Great pictures!! The red roof cottage is actually the sacred heart outdoor chapel which is on the grounds of the Eastern Point Retreat House.

Thank you Deb–they have an interesting rock maze path near the chapel–so wonderful to find. I was filming random light through the trees and stumbled upon it.
