Is this the same type of phenomenon that allows us to see the Isles of Shoals from Plum Island somehow through the atmosphere??? It’s a type of reflection, I think.

Oh, for Pete’s sake, you people have boats!! What’s keeping someone from taking a ride a few miles out and finding out just what this mysterious Leviathan is? Or is it the mystery that’s so interesting? From Seattle, just wondering —

It looks really cool, we know it is boat but looks very interesting from different spots on the island, I live where the city of Boston can be seen

This is a barge containing modules to be fitted with gear for a floating data center for Google at Cianbro Co. in Portland Harbor.http://www.pressherald.com/news/Clues_emerging_about_mystery_structure_on_barge_in_harbor_.html

Thank you for your post, if it is clear enough during the day you can see the lettering on the barge

HI DONNA: In our own GMG search engine, type in GDF SUEZ Cape Ann, you will see the real the photos of what you are looking at on the horizon, during here launching in South Korea. The actual vessel on the horizon is the GDF Suez Neptune, an exact “sister” vessel to the Cape Ann. She was simply anchored awating a berth at the LNG facility in Everett, where she is currently safely moored and discharging her cargo of LNG.

Thank you Joseph, during the day it says CBX on the barge, they are a shipping company

Interesting, because I can assure you, your photo is of the Neptune, she was anchored out there for a week. Compare the vent masts and the large crane forward with the Pictures of the Cape Ann i referenced earlier.
