aaaaaaawwwww. Looks like everyone is having a lovely day!! Fred, I’ve walked into your gallery many times and didn’t have the time to linger. I noticed the awesome makeover that your friends did for you. Looks great! My husband and I stay in Rocky Neck two weeks out of the year and feel like it’s our second home. Personally, I wish it was my present home. I went to Endicott quite a few years ago and am familiar with the North Shore. Frankly, I don’t think New England can be beat. The next time we’re there, I will introduce myself and stay and chat for awhile. You seem like a real gentleman. I love talking with the locals and eating all that awesome seafood and walking along Bass Rocks Ave. Or is it called Atlantic Drive? Not sure, but sure is gorgeaous. Love this photo you posted. Dogs bring so many people and emotions together. They are the BEST ! Till next summer. Have a great winter, Hope it won’t be too brutal.

Thank you Karen. My stories and photos sometimes have a different twist. I guess it’s my friendliness and lack of fear that let me dig in a little bit. Retail. I’ve lined up a writer from Loblolly Cove to submit, and I’m sure we’ll be getting a report from Jamestown, RI very soon. You betcha!

These are the stories I love. Was talking with mom thig morning about some hisotry that way and what I remember…The lanesville post office was a fountain when she wa young and sold prescriptions also. The two movie theater’s she remembered downtown North Shore (I remember) and she said Strand and of course the route 128 Drive-in. My uncle Jack lived on main street next to a bar (Cannot recall name) he also lived in an apartment by Gloucester High School. We kids just knew him as uncle Jack real name was Jack “Fairban John” McNeill and he fell off a ladder while painting his house when he reached for the window shade wood rotten from second story he paid another young lad to hold ladder for $1.00 an hour while painting his house he was past 89 when this happened broke his hip and nurse told him never walk again, he disagreeded and he did with a noticeable lip He had quite a history also road with Teddy Rooservlet and the Rough Riders and was quite a ticket all the way to his death at 103 years young! He used to cook us kids hotdogs that were fried in bacon Grease he kept in a vat by stove. We used to go to Michels -dinner looking like the one out of the movie Blob with Steve McQueen…Think it was relocated to New Hampshire…We also as kids would go to Vic and Gena Vicaries store in bayview for our Ice Cream, Popsicles, and ding dongs or twinkies what great folks…Memory meter pegged now! 🙂
