Over /Under On How Fast The Rutgers Basketball Coach Gets Fired Poll

I understand he’s officially suspended but there’s no way this guy doesn’t get fired, only question is how fast Rutgers can get rid of this guy.

I’m thinking if the AD had seen the tape and didn’t do anything about it he’s gonna go too, no?

    1. Not Politically Correct, Just Plain Old Correct.

Politically Correct decisions often happen not because they are just but because mob hysteria is created by holier than thou folks often without looking at all the facts.

In the case of this video and the repetition of offenses it is quite clear what needs to be done and it has nothing to do with Political Correctness.

Like in the case of Doug Gottlieb being forced to apologize by CBS for saying the phrase “White man’s perspective” as if it were some horrible crime against humanity.

  1. There was a law passed that said you cannot say, “from a white man’s perspective” on a sports show? I missed that. I thought it might have been someone in network with common decency thinking of the young black girl watching that show and asking her mom what the white dude meant by “white man’s perspective”. “Gee, honey I’m not sure but I think it means from the perspective of a racist ass.” He was forced to apologize by a law? No, his network wanted to show they disagreed with an ass and so made him apologize. Or even better, he did it on his own.

As for the basketball coach. His side: Do you mean coaches from now on cannot carry a basketball during practice and fire it at a mistake? Football coaches can’t? How many times in one afternoon practice did my football coach fire the ball into the stomach of someone who dropped their feet in the leg lift drill? Total drillings in one Practice? 30 maybe? Thank god for my coach no youtube was around. Did coach go too far when he drove Kenny to barf virtually every practice? Maybe, but I don’t think he should have been fired. We learned discipline. Are these clips of the basketball coach taken out of context and being “politiaclly correct?” Not sure. He sure needs to clean up his language though.

Is there a law saying you cannot be an aggressive disciplining coach? That you cannot lay your hands on a player? That sounds like the political correctness you always go off on. I was just wondering what the difference was. Now I know, when laws get passed. Except I haven’t seen many. I’ve just seen the unwritten laws of common decency.

  2. His behavior plus the fact that he hasn’t had a winning season equals fired. I do wonder though if he had been a winning coach if the ax would have fallen that fast on him. I’m glad they fired him though his behavior was abusive towards his players.

    1. Shoot, if I had known he had a losing season, of course the coach is gone. Bobby Knight used to throw chairs at people and coached for decades. Didn’t he have to actually choke a player to get punted only to be picked up somewhere else?
