Attention Nike: Make Me Up Some Dri-Fit Boxer Briefs Stat
I have the greatest idea in the history of underwear and I can’t believe this hasn’t been done already.
With the insano heat we’ve been experiencing I know men everywhere will agree that a sweaty nutbag that’s stuck to your leg is just no fun.
Nike makes the greatest Dri-Fit moisture wicking t shirts known to man so why not whip up some Dri-Fit Boxer Briefs?
Hey I’ll be the spokesmodel for free. I’ll be the first customer and I’ll promise to buy 10 pairs (white please, I don’t need any fancy wierdo colors or designs, call me traditional)
Just get on it and produce me some Nike like STAT.
Men everywhere shouldn’t have to endure heat induced sticky nuts all day long when the answer and the technology is there for the taking.
My platform if I ever run for President will be nice dry nutsacks for every man in America if I get elected. Screw wasting money on all these messed up pseudo environmental programs where the only one saving or making money are the hacks behind these pseudo green technologies who take bajillions from our taxes. I’m promising a better American guaranteed and it starts with nice dry nuts.
Dry Nuts are Happy Nuts- That’s what I always say.
Who’s With Me?

(I’ve dated some broads in the past that could probably benefit from some Dri-Fit panties as well) just sayin…
GMG Inside The Numbers -Tuesday July 17, 2012 51,312 Views
We also posted our 23,000th post this morning.
That’s a whole lot of G Town Love. I’d say we’ve got a pretty good catalog of Gloucester material. if there is something you want to know about a search is worthwhile in the search box in the right hand column on the Blog.
I remember the first day GMG hit 100 views in a day and how psyched I was. Then I remember 1000, then 10,000 views, then I had the number of resident’s in the City of Gloucester as a target- BLAM blew that shit out of the water. I thought that there was a finite number of people with the nature of GMG being so hyperlocal that we would be bouncing off of barriers and topping off but no way Jose. Not yet anyway, the growth just keeps coming.
It’s a freight train baby. Jump on board and join the party or get run down by the beast.

9th Annual Seacoast Seven This Saturday, July 21.
Shortly after his wife Marion died, Art McCann conceived of a road race to honor her memory and as a fund raiser for the Friends of Seacoast Nursing Home. While Marion was a resident at Seacoast, Art took over the chairmanship of the organization which supplies residents with extras like live musical entertainment and a lovely garden they can enjoy during the warmer months.
It’s no surprise that Art chose a running event as he was a record-holding runner in his day at Quincy High School. As a long-time Gloucester resident, he set out to lay out a course that would provide runners with picturesque views of the ocean. And, as a serious runner himself, he made sure that the course qualified as a certified course.
This year the 9th Annual Seacoast Seven race is set for this Saturday, July 21 at Stage Fort Park at 9AM. Runners can preregister online at www.seacoastseven.com. They can also register Saturday at the park starting at 6:30 AM. The following flyer provides more information.
“Lobster glut brings down retail prices, at last” Article In The Boston Business Journal
Lobster glut brings down retail prices, at last
by Jay Fitzgerald, Special to the Journal
Boston Business Journal
Updated: Tuesday, July 17, 2012
An unexpectedly abundant catch this spring of soft-shell lobsters has finally begun to force down the price of lobster at restaurants and retail stores – much to the delight of consumers.
“We’re doing fabulous,” said Myalisa Waring, owner of the Lobster Pool restaurant in Rockport. “We’re serving lobsters like crazy. Everyone’s coming in and talking about the prices and want lobsters.”
“I haven’t seen catches like this in years,” said Frank Ciaramitaro, co-owner of Captain Joe & Sons Inc., a Gloucester wholesale dealer that buys lobsters direct from lobstermen on the docks. “For us, it’s been a record.”
Even though lobstermen began catching higher numbers of soft-shell lobsters in early June – about a month earlier than usual, creating an unexpectedly large surplus of lobsters early in the season – the retail prices for lobsters initially and generally held steady across much of Massachusetts through last week.
2012 Blackburn Challenge Slide Show From Len Burgess
This is Jujuba she has been missing since last Friday night.
Jujuba, became missing on Summit street in Gloucester last Friday night. If anyone finds her or knows anything PLEASE call Jessica at 978 879 6623 or 978 930 2704. She is very loved and we are VERY worried.
I know what it is like to have a missing pet. I am hoping someone found this dog and fell in love with it. I also am hoping if this is the case that they will show some love and return it to its owner. The police said to give it up because there has been reports of a coyote in the area. The owner and friends have not given up. They continue to search, posters are up around town and it has been posted on some websites too.
Thank you,
Joanne

The Sailing Conways
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore… Dream… Discover…” Mark Twain
This is the quote on the card of the Conway Family (Dad-Chris, Mom-Erica, Bryson, Riesling and Porter) from Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey who came into the gallery and were just such a pleasure and inspiration to meet. They are on day 16 of a year long sailing adventure aboard their 47′ sailboat s/v Patronus. Check out www.conwaysailors.com to learn more about them and follow their adventure.
Chris is an active father, a successful businessman, a talented woodworker, a wannabe meteorologist, and a lifelong sailor. He enjoyed years of racing sailboats with his family, at Cornell University, and at premier levels of the racing world. Highlights of his racing career include the Transatlantic Race (New York to England), Fastnet (England), and Cowes Week (England). These days, he enjoys being a dad to Bryson, Riesling, and Porter. He is excited about sharing his love of sailing, adventure, and the sea with his children. In preparing for our trip, he has taken an intensive diesel engine repair and maintenance course, researched every possible piece of equipment from bow to stern, and has pored over the charts from Maine to Grenada. Chris had to come to Gloucester, which he has a fascination with due to our fishing and maritime history, and he loves “Wicked Tuna”.
Erica is a stay-at-home mom who has always felt most at home when on the ocean. She was boating by 11 weeks old and has never stopped. As achild, she enjoyed powerboating with her family and lived on a boat for 6 years on Long Island, New York. In college, she began racing sailboats and fell in love with the wind. And Chris. Chris and Erica met on the Cornell Sailing Team, racing dinghies together and traveling around the country. They dreamed of getting married and having three children some day, during those early months of starry-eyed dating. They graduated, got married, and continued to race until having children 10 years ago. Erica can’t wait to watch her three children feel at home on a boat. Most importantly, she can’t wait to show them that we can make our dreams come true.

Help Please! Headphone Recommendation
Dear GMG Readers,
I am in the midst of adding the background foley to my Black Swallowtail film, which is really fun and I love this aspect of editing, however I am completely frustrated using my husband’s headphones, which are 20 year old relics (at least 20) from his past life as a working musician.
He says I need noise-blocking headphones, which these are definitely not. Even with every window shut tight, along with the several doors leading to my office, these are still ineffectual. It is extremely uncomfortable working in front of a computer in a stuffy room for hours with no ac. If you have a spare moment, please write with your recommendation–and I would love to know why. Thank you.

Don’t forget – origami class at The Annie tonight!
Tonight (Tuesday, July 17) I will be teaching an origami class at The Annie, starting at 7PM. I’ll start off with some simple models, and will work up to more difficult designs as time and the ability of the participants allows. Among other things, we will fold a basic boat, and a bird that flaps its wings. If you are already an advanced folder, this class is probably not for you – but I’d love to meet you, and maybe set up a regular meeting for an origami group for folders of all skill levels.
Folders of all ages are welcome, although children should be accompanied by an adult. I will provide paper, but if you have your own favorite origami paper (kami? duo? washi? chiyogami? foil?), feel free to bring it along too. You can purchase origami paper locally at Island Art and Hobby (on Main Street in Gloucester), at the Liberty Tree Mall (at Michael’s or A.C. Moore), or on-line at Origami USA (members of the organization get a discount, besides access to other resources and the annual convention) or at Amazon.com.
The Annie is a non-profit, and requests a $5 donation per participant to help cover costs of operation. It is located on Washington Street, just north of the intersection with Main Street, in the Blackburn Tavern building (on the floor above Giuseppe’s).
