Nice picture of cloud formation but I think it is the altocumulos or sheep/ wool pack cloud made of water dropslets rather than the cirrocumulus or mackerel clound made up or ice crystales. But either way Remember the old star glazers words “keep looking up”.

Thanks R.R. According to that source of all knowledge, Wikipedia, a mackerel sky can be comprised of either altocumulus or cirrocumulus clouds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altocumulus_mackerel_sky
