I always thought this was Pigeon Cove, but I have recently become aware that Pigeon Cove is actually a community of Rockport that extends from the granite bridge by Granite Pier all the way to Folly Cove. I never knew. It’s amazing how many unique individual parts there are to Cape Ann. These photos are of Pigeon Cove Harbor.

Did you have a chance to meet Jim Waddell while on the Pigeon Cove pier? I bought a sculpture from him last spring and he personally came to my house to find the right spot for it in my yard. He is a very talented and interesting soul.

No Kecia, I didn’t. There was a man working behind the shop that I greeted, but we didn’t introduce ourselves. I didn’t realize he was a sculptor, although it is interesting that the reflections in his window look like a sculpture. What type of work does he do?

Yes, I knew, growing up in Rockport all my life. Pigeon Cove residents are Covahs.
