Once Lat 43 embeds the webcam feed onto it’s website the link from when you click on the picture on www.gloucesterwebcam.com will take you to The Lat 43 website where that webcam feed will be streaming.
The idea is to have 30 or so of these around the area and to push the web traffic to the webcam host websites.

I love webcams. Scenic vistas? Bring ’em on. Harbor views and street scenes? Awesome. Inside restaurants, bars and businesses? No, no and no. Maybe I’m just an old fart, part of a generation not in the habit of splaying our private lives all over the internet, but when I’m dining, having a drink or browsing a store, I do not want a thousand unknown eyeballs watching me. Perhaps younger generations will embrace it, but that’s my old fart 2 cents.
I agree Cathy. We are just waiting for the electric wire to be placed so it can view Harbor Cove. It was just placed where it is now to see how it works overnight and to troubleshoot. It works great and the set up was less than 5 minutes.
