Artober Opening This Saturday October 8th
This Saturday from 6 pm to 10 pm we’ll be having Artober Open House here at the gallery. There will be light fare and seasonal refreshments. Gallery painters Jean Byrd and Kathleen Miller will be showing new work, as will my sister Painter Barb. I’ll also have my historic and contemporary photos on display. Pop Gallery across the street will be holding Pop-Tober Fest with October Ales and more. Join us!

Love the feel of “Dog Bar Breakwater” Curious of the price…

Hi Laurel- Jean Byrd’s (Rockport resident) Dog Bar Breakwater oil measures 22″ x 19″ and is priced at $595. You’ve got to see it in person under the gallery lights. The vividness of the reds and her layering of paint is stunning, capturing that glimmer on the water that you see from the harbor. It’s been in the gallery for three days.

Thank you Fred. Had I not already ordered an appetizer next door to you, I would of enjoyed chatting some more last night. How ironic that I happened by as you were posting your response. Glad I came in. If you happen to dig up any more information on Anna Ryan, I’d appreciate shared knowledge. I love the watercolor I scored, almost as much as (I’m going to) love my “Bodin Original” someday. I need to lose the Mansard Roof with it’s slanted walls, so I can get my artworks off the floor and purchase more!
Enjoy you Open House tonight.

P.S. You’re absolutely right about “Dog Bar Breakwater,” it does need to be seen in person. Funny how we both got different seasons out of it. Curious now as to what the temperature was!

Now I know what I am going to do after the Rotary wine tasting. Head over to Fred’s. I checked out the Draconid mateor shower last night and it looks to be a bust. Not one shooting star and the moon is way too bright.
