Hi Joey and Others at GMG,
I’m a nurse and
love the photo of Bernie in Haiti with her GMG bumper
sticker. I’m posting it up in my office where lots of other nurses visit
and I know everyone’s going to love the photo too and want to know more about
Bernie and her mission. Can you share? Thanks.
Peg O’Malley.

Peg, our medical team consisted of 3 MDs, 4 RNs & an echo tech. We are from Melrose Wakefield Hospital. We went to support The Crudem Foundation (crudem.org.) which operates the hospital in Milot. We saw patients in clinics, in their emergency rooms (tents) & in the hospital. There were still a few cholera patients being treated, but most of the earth quake victims had been discharged. Patients started lining up at 6 am, and many waited long hours to be seen. We never heard a single complaint about their wait. PBS did a wonderful program on the hospital at Milot.
