Cape Ann Youth Lacrosse – Giving Back

On Sunday morning, May 16, 2010, the Titans and Spartans of Cape Ann Youth Lacrosse program participated in a morning of giving back.    These young Lacrosse players, In the spirit of giving back, they cut, clean and rake the grounds of the WWII Memorial Monument.

The monument recognized the tremendous sacrifices made by the men and women from Gloucester, Massachusetts and honors the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice.

At 10:30, Mr. Michael Linquata a WWII Veteran the owner of The Gloucester House Restaurant, and one of the originators and main movers behind the memorial construction spoke to the players about the memorials long journey from a simple vision to the completion of one of the most striking WWII memorials you will ever see set on a beautiful plot across from the boulevard overlooking Gloucester harbor.  It was honor and privilege for our team to have a part in enhancing the memorials site.
