Have I told you guys how much fun I’ve been having taking pictures for you?
Took this a couple of days ago before work. It was nearly pitch dark out and I set up the tripod in the corner of Beacon Marine right where the black iron fence starts. I was bent over adjusting the settings when two people came out from around the corner and startled the hell out of me. I don’t often have people bouncing around at that time of morning. Stay tuned throughout the next couple of weeks where you will see some of the best photography I feel I’ve captured to date.

Love shooting early morning just after a rain storm. The textures and reflections make for much more interesting photos. The green on the sign vs the yellow and the purple. Lots of repetition and symmetry. Sometimes the scenes you pass by a million times end up being the most interesting when you simply slow down and immerse yourself in it.

I dig the reflections especially the red on the wet herring vats in the right hand part of the picture which are reflections of the port side red navigation light on the F/V Endevour.
It was raining pretty good but I set up the tripod first and then attached the camera and held my baseball cap over it. This was a 6.5 second exposure. More to come.

I heard Abbey Lincoln singing “Up Jumped Spring” on the radio while driving to Passports this morning to meet my friends for brunch–the lyrics couldn’t have been more perfect! Up jumped spring time – so Hello my friends!
