Here’s a quiz for all you locals out there in GMG land. 

Can you read the navigation codes for the south lighthouse at Thachers Island off Rockport, the lighthouse at Eastern Point, and the light at the end of the Dogbar at the entrance to outer Gloucester Habor?

Here are the codes, taken from the images below:

1. Thacher’s Island south light:  FL R 5s 166ft 17m

2. Eastern Point lighthouse: FL 5s 57ft 20M

3. Dogbar light and horn: Oc R 4s 45ft 6M

First reader to give the correct answers gets to accompany Joey  "Baitmaker" Ciaramitaro on his next trip out of town to chop up yet another counterfeit lobster roll maker into tuna chum.

If you haven’t seen this woman perform, you should push that icepick in a little further, maybe it’ll help. She’s a  montrous talent that should not be fooled with.
Backing up over her  will be guitarist and good buddy Roberto Mortituri, or something like that (Ave, Caesar!) Last time here, I couldn’t stop staring at his shoes( Sorry, Mike), Alligator or catfish skin or something… and also, Roger Brocklebank , on skins, he of Madhouse fame, as well as Greg T. on catarrh, and myself, on base. Don’t miss it, or I’ll kill you, haha, just kidding!

Mr. Brad Foucher, glitarist of the axis mundi, will be appearing and disappearing all night long this Thursday nite wailing and speaking in tongues, trying to get it right. This guy is to traditional blues as Birdseye is to frozen fish.A good place to be as an alternative to greasy sausage and cotton candy.

Cliff “Hidden Agenda”Spencer on Keyboards! (Hope he left Dont Stop Believing at The Vineyard) And Wow! We have Borderland “Bar Tab Boy” Chrissy”Slim Pickin’s”Houston on Bass Guitar, Closed Eyes, and Earplugs…Yeaaah, and also, Gloucester Native Guitar Frontman Jason “Kung Fu/Grasshopper”Aptt doing his Foolishness for you. I will also be there recovering from the multiple stab wounds and other Nonsense, Ouch. Just wanted to let everyone know that the Dogbar has two new chefs for the winter and one is the head chef from the Rudder (he will return when they open for the season).  We have a new menu attached and the food is amazing.   Please come check it out.  Also, there is a menu attached for this weeks “Restaurant Week” that will be extended thru this Sunday 10/26 ~ 3 course meal for a fixed price of $25.08.  Please pass the menu around.   Thanks!

Seafood Throwdown: Two restaurant chefs will compete in this week’s Seafood Throwdown. Chefs from Passports and Dogbar, both Main Street restaurants, will find out what secret seafood they will be cooking with at 4:30pm. Once they discover the secret seafood, they will each be given $25 and 15 minutes to use the Farmers’ Market as their pantry and then an hour to prepare, cook, and plate samples for three judges and Farmers’ Market customers chosen randomly by volunteers and given a green “time to eat seafood” ticket. Our judges will be Boston based celebrity chef Didi Emmons and Michael Wheeler of http://www.dancingspoon.com.
