Those of you who like Christmas music are in luck tonight. Fly Amero is signing Christmas songs with his brother J.B. and Allen Estes at the Rhumbline tonight starting at 8pm.
Then catch the Local Music Seen with Allen Estes 2011 Christmas Special at 11pm on Cape Ann TV Channel 12 (originally aired last year) featuring Dan King, Daisy Nell & Capt. Stan, Ann Marie, Bradley Royds, Inge Berge, Chelsea Berry, Dave Sag, Courtney Reid and Allen’s son Dylan Estes. Here’s a video of many of the performers singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Beauport Anthology – Dramatic monologues of Gloucester’s colorful characters 1600 – 1900. (Cast of 9) – Gordon Baird (photo above), David Adams, Jay DiPrima, Jim Buhrendorf, Bradley Royds, Talia Brown, Nora Messier, Tina Greel, Duncan Nelson – from Masconnomet to Blackburn.
9:00pm – Dog Bar was packed. Chelsea Berry was setting up for a night of music promoting her new CD. With a keen sense of humor and bluntness, the singer-songwriter kept the audience entertained for hours. She sang her own songs as well as covers that were meaningful to her. More than once, the only sound in the room was Chelsea’s incredible music. Her cover of Susan Werner’s “May I Suggest” brought tears to many listeners’ eyes. She invited Pete Lindberg, Bradley Royds and a cast of others to round out the night. What a show!
Go listen for yourself at the Rhumb Line around 7:30 Sunday night where she’ll be playing with friend and cohort Pete Lindberg. You’ll be glad you did.
