Hi Joey,
Photos from Saturday night’s Beaux Arts Ball. Again, I live over the bridge and by virtue of knowing Marianne in Bayview, I get to be part of these events. The food was plentiful and delicious and the band, Le Prestige, very professional.

It is coming up fast, the 2013 Rocky Neck Beaux Arts Ball. This year the theme is recycled, repurposed, revived. Put on your creative thinking cap and come up with a fun, unique costume (plastic bags, newspapers, empty cans or bottles, fish net, a recreated second hand outfit – like our poster model Katharine Worth created and is wearing – from Bananas, Second Glance, Madcap Style or any of our many vintage, second hand and thrift shops, etc.). Have fun with your costume, and then come and have fun at the Beaux Arts Ball at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center on Saturday, August 3rd from 6-10:00 pm.
The Rocky Neck Art Colony invites the public to attend the annual Beaux Arts Ball on Thursday, August 11, from 7-11 pm at the Studio Restaurant, 51 Rocky Neck Ave.
in Gloucester. The theme, Studio 51, based on the nightclub Studio 54 the height of the disco era, is all about the dancing. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Music, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar will be provided. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes and among our distinguished judges will be Joey C. from "Good Morning Gloucester". General Admission is $25 for adults and $10 for children under 18.
VIP tickets are available at $50 and include special seating and a Studio 51 swag bag. Visit: http://www.rockyneckartistsball.com for details. A Cape Ann tradition since the 1940’s, the Beaux Arts Ball is a major fundraiser for the Rocky Neck Art Colony, an organization dedicated to nurturing excellence in the visual arts. Throughout the year, the Art Colony sponsors many free events that promote the arts on Rocky Neck including Nights on the Neck, a juried Summer Artist Series featuring work from both inside and outside the colony, Artist in Residence talks, and other lectures
and exhibits.
The pictures of this Beaux Arts Ball Roman Orgy Print were sent in by Coby Umstead, It lists the location of the Beaux Arts Roman Orgy Ball as The Rocky Neck Lobster House which I don’t remember so it is probably pretty old.
Does anyone know the history or year when this Rocky Neck Roman Orgy took place? The Artwork was done by someone named J. Black.
Deb Clarke? Richard Leonard? We want details and we want them NOW!
