Breaking news
GLOUCESTER, Mass. —A stuck flip-flop may be responsible for causing a vehicle to plunge into the water off the Stone Pier in Gloucester Friday.
Sky 5 showed the vehicle approximately 15 to 20 feet from the pier, in a shallow area of the river.
According to the Gloucester Fire dispatcher, the vehicle accelerated into the water after a flip-flop got stuck under the gas pedal.
The two men inside the vehicle escaped without injury.
The harbormaster was at the scene to help get the vehicle out of the water.
Breaking News – Porn Star Ron Jeremy at Liquor Locker Now
Ronald Jeremy Hyatt (born March 12, 1953) known by the stage name Ron Jeremy, is an American adult film actor. Nicknamed “The Hedgehog”,[1] he was ranked by AVN at number one in their “The 50 Top Porn Stars of All Time” list.[4] Jeremy has also appeared in non-pornographic films, such as The Chase, Orgazmo, They Bite, The Boondock Saints, Crank: High Voltage, Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead, Detroit Rock City and 54.
Jeremy is involved in the marketing of a line of rum “Ron de Jeremy” to which he lent his name, “ron” being Spanish for “rum”. Television ads for the rum, featuring Jeremy himself, proclaim that it’s rum, “Ron Style”‘. If you were thinking of going to Liquor Locker to pick up something today, you will find a madhouse of woman having parts of their bodies autographed by Jeremy.
I didn’t see this myself, fellow artist Sue Handman just came back from Liquor Locker and gave the report, which I just had to pass on.

7th Wave Restaurant in Rockport is Open for Business!
We stopped in at the 7th Wave Restaurant to see our son Alex last weekend. For my husband, he cooked the sweetest, most freshest swordfish special, with grilled veggies, and cannellini beans with pesto. I had the steamers, grilled asparagus, and fried calamari appetizer. The calamari appetizer portion was so generous, I took half home and had it for lunch the following day. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the view, lovely.
The Kahn Family owners are wonderfully welcoming and the waitstaff at the 7th Wave are always friendly, professional, and lots of fun. Their topside deck is open for al fresco dining, just be sure to bring a sweater, and if outdoors is too chilly for you, the 7th Wave’s indoor dining room also has a beautiful view of the harbor and Bear Skin Neck. The 7th Wave is open for lunch and for dinner. The kitchen closes at 7:00 on Friday and Saturday, and at 6:00 on Sunday. This weekend and next are their last two weekends of the summer.
Breaking News: Beer & Wine available at Saturday’s Larcom Theatre Concert
Yesterday Rich Marino, owner of Chianti’s Tuscan Restaurant and Jazz Lounge in Beverly, was granted a one-day license to serve beer and wine at our concert featuring the Allen Estes Band at the Larcom Theatre in Beverly.
In case you don’t know Chianti’s, it’s one of those restaurants worth going over the bridge for. The food is excellent with professional — but not stuffy — service. Best of all, Chianti’s is listed as one of the “Top 150 Jazz Rooms in the World” by Downbeat magazine. An accomplished musician himself, Rich knows how to treat his music-loving customers.
Chianti’s will be offering the perfect beers and wines to complement Saturday’s music — and you can even take the drinks back to your seat, so you don’t miss a beat of this extraordinary show.
You can still get good seats by clicking here. The Box Office at Larcom Theatre will open on Saturday around 2pm. We hope to see you at the show!

Once there, I saw Barbara’s mother, Donna Hand, who was a bartender at “The Rigger” for many years before Jalapenos, which was next door to my gallery. Also volunteering was City Councilor Melissa Cox, who’s running for office again and is everywhere as a volunteer. L–R: Donna Hand, Melissa Cox, and Barbara, all there for the AmVets 32 Auxiliary. Donna’s son and Barbara’s brother, is a Black Hawk helicopter pilot. God Bless and we can’t tell you where he is, because even we don’t know.

Critical Question of The Day- If you had to be stuck talking to stinky guy or curmudgeon guy which would you rather?
Here’s the scenario:
You absolutely have to spend time in close quarters to one of two people.
One. a person that absolutely reeks of body odor and overall stench and every time yo take a breath you inhale the rottenness.
or the second a total negative Nancy curmudgeon who has nothing nice to say about anything and takes delight in other people’s misfortune.

Any Knitters Out There Want To Knit Me A Sweater In Trade For One Of The New Heavy Weight Super Soft Fleece Double Lined Hood GMG Hoodies?

I’d like a lg mens merino wool sweater in the style above minus the Charlie Brown pattern color heather grey or charcoal. Any knitters up for it? Your picture on the blog and the yarn shop that wants to donate the yarn will get my time posting about the process.
Here’s where I saw the pattern but you might have a classic crew neck sweater pattern we could look at too.
Lawrence Peter Berra Quote of The Week From Greg Bover
October 3, 2013
“You wouldn’t have won if we’d beaten you.”
Lawrence Peter Berra (1925- )
Yogi Berra was one of the greatest catchers of all time, even if he was a Yankee. The three-time MVP appeared in the World Series as a player, coach, or manager 21 times, and managed World Series winners in both leagues. At the plate he was a fine clutch hitter, in five seasons he had more home runs than strikeouts. He was an All-Star fifteen times and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1972. Because of his extraordinary gift for malapropism and tautology with a thought-provoking twist, he is often the target of misattribution, which prompted his 1998 book, I Didn’t Really Say Everything I Said. One of my other favorite Yogi-isms, said of a restaurant he liked, “Nobody goes there anymore, it’s too crowded.”
Mover and Shaker Gayle Piraino Meets Another Gloucesterite In Vegas
Good Afternoon Joey,
Wow, it’s a small world indeed! I just got in from Las at 7 Vegas this morning. Our company GAP Promotions exhibited at the National Beer Wholesalers Association’s Annual Conference at Caesar’s Palace on Monday/Tuesday. We left Saturday and never stopped until we left for the airport at 8PM last night. It’s a “work hard/play hard” event but so rewarding when you get to meet your customers face to face to thank them for their support. Plus where we work with Food and Beverage Clients on a National basis, not much beats this event!
I try to say thank you to as many clients as possible and yesterday it was like Thanksgiving reunion when John Saputo, Owner and President of Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, Inc. in Pensacola, FL entered our booth! We were conversing about some new products and he quickly noticed Gloucester on our badges and immediately mentioned you, Felicia and so many others! It was fantastic as I had no idea of the relationship of him, his fine distributorship to Gloucester. Was wonderful to listen to and so nice knowing the many ties he has to Gloucester!
