Another little weekend project that my boys and I tackled. Some of our favorite little getaways. The boys did a great job painting the arrows and it was fun to guess how far away each place was…before finding the real answers on MapQuest.

My View of Life on the Dock
I got a call at about 5:30am from Joey. He couldn’t get away from the dock to cover the event. I was tired and pissed but I obey’d Joey and I did have a good time. Hopefully Gloucester will get the TRI Back.
Banana Split Scones
This morning I created this recipe for my daughter Amanda, who requested freshly baked scones for breakfast. I thought I whip up a batch using slightly overripe strawberries, and extra coconut milk leftover from another recipe. The results were great! The scones are light and fluffy, and not overly sweet. Tuck this recipe into your recipe box…strawberry season is around the corner!

Recently, Hannah and I decided to make a new fresh ceviche recipe. Next we pitched some fresh chips in oil we keeps it real. Now look closely at the bowl and at my chip. There’s a secret ingredient thats creatively thrown in the mix here. Can you see it? Do you know what it is? Is it local? Was it alive? Is it Vegan?
Now if all the guesses are just way off, I’ll drop a new hint…and so on.

A Sister is a Gift to the Heart,
A Friend to the Spirit,
A Golden Thread
To the Meaning of Life…
My sister, Judy Wilburn, is all those things and more. She is a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, awesome sister and dear friend to many, she is beautiful in every way, incredibly smart, generous, talented and a gifted artist. She was the driving force in my move to Gloucester, she introduced me to Good Morning Gloucester, Rocky Neck Art Colony, is a great friend of the blog and lover of Cape Ann. Happy Birthday Judy – you are a gift, friend and golden thread to many. It might be your birthday, but we get the gift of having you in our lives. Love, Ellen
