Gloucester Gas Prices

The Cape Ann Gas Price Website Is No Longer.  I found a new one from automotive.com that has a limited amount of participating gas stations with current Gloucester Gas Prices

So the link in the blogroll to the right has this link for your reference once this post heads down off the page over time.

Gloucester Gas Prices

I jotted down some of the gas prices at local stations this morning 2/19/09 at 5:00AM

Here you go-

US Petroleum 2.099,2.199,2.299

Tally’s Washington Sq 1.999,2.159,2.299

Flanagan Square Service Station 1.959,2.099,2.159

Hess Self Serve 1.979,2.079,2.099

East Gloucester Richdale 1.999, 2.099,2.199

Interesting that the cheapest gas in town is also full serve at Flanagan Square.  Why anyone would pump their own gas and pay more to do it is beyond me.

If any of our readers drive through other parts of town and would like to update the gas station prices, feel free to do so in the comments under this post.

Robin Jean- Phil Bolger Boat Design Pics By Paul Frontiero

Just for Fun ID!

jeremiah-and-allie A couple of days ago, I posted a cropped photo of this dad and his daughter. One person said they knew who it was, but wouldn’t tell Ha! But now we know. It’s Jeremiah Nicastro and his happy daughter! Smile, Allie!

I’m thinking today is going to be the day!

I’m thinking today is going to be the day we bust through 300,000 hits.  I wonder who it is going to be to click through and be the 300,000th.

Where Zat? Winner!

lanes-cove-shack

Paul Frontiero took a long shot when he guessed the Lane’s Cove shack and when I notified him, he wrote back….

“You gotta be kidding me?
I’ve been down there alot. Must be implanted in my noggin.
I promise I won’t guess for awhile. Unless… one of the next prizes is a Cruise. Thanks Sharon.
Take Care, Paul

So Paul wins a gift certificate from the Lone Gull.  Congratulations, Paul!

We know how hard the economy has been hitting us all, so until things pick up, I’d rather not ask small businesses for donations. Soooo- we can still have fun with this without prizes, and Paul won’t have to feel guilty about guessing!!! Jan, you too!

Just Finished Weed Whacking

Yep, I took the nose hair clippers to the salt and pepper forest growing out of my nostrils.  I swear I just trimmed last week.

Now I know why old guys always have a ton of hair coming out of their noses and ears.  They give up beause as we get older the freaking hair just grows like weeds in all the places you don’t want it to grow and stops growing on your head.

How unfair is that?

Getting Old

Grey Nose Hairs.

Yet more signs of mortality.

Big thick nasty grey nose hairs.

I’m gonna need a big weed whacker in a couple years to clear these god damned things.  It didnt seem like all that long ago I felt like I was a decent looking relevant guy.  Now I got big ol’ grey nose hairs.  Damn, I’m fallin apart.

I think Joey will approve of the degree of difficulty for this one!

It’s Salmonella Jelly Time!

I just read that the peanut butter company that was responsible for the salmonella cases just went bankrupt.  That’s gotta suck.  Long time in business and then poof, all done.

LET THE RIGHT ONE IN
The Cape Ann Community Cinema
267 East Main Street * East Gloucester
978/282-1988
Saturday 2/14 & Sunday 2/15 @ 7:15pm

Fragile, anxious 12-year-old Oskar is regularly bullied by his stronger classmates but never strikes back. The lonely boy’s wish for a friend seems to come true when he meets Eli, also 12, who moves in next door to him with her father. A pale, serious young girl, she only comes out at night and doesn’t seem affected by the freezing temperatures. It doesn’t take long before he figures out that Eli is a vampire. But by now a subtle romance has blossomed between Oskar and Eli, and she gives him the strength to fight back against his aggressors. Swedish filmmaker Tomas Alfredson weaves friendship, rejection and loyalty into a disturbing and darkly atmospheric, yet poetic and unexpectedly tender tableau of adolescence.

“A spectacularly moving and elegant film that is, at this point, the best movie of the year.” -John Anderson, Washington Post

“I loved it, and it’s possibly the best vampire movie ever.” -Rob Newton, Creative Director of The Cape Ann Community Cinema
