1st Sunday Morning Painting Class

Due to weather conditions the class was held in Deb Clarke’s House. There were three students;  Tom, Liz and myself.

Spot Color Painting was the assignment. Spot color painting is where you pick a color and relate that color to the rest of the painting. Debbie began by giving a spot color demonstration. Tom picked a scene outside one of Deb’s windows, Liz picked a hanging candle lamp and I picked a high shelf with three colored wine glasses and two silver pictures. Deb’s Knowledge of art, painting and color instincts are very inspiriring. The two hours flew by. I can’t wait for next week! Anyone whoever has thought about taking up painting should give it try. Twentyfive dollars is a great deal for the infomation you receive.

Fishing Families and Friends Health and Safety Day at The US Coast Guard Station Gloucester

There was a good number of public safety and health organizations at the Fishing Families and friends Health and Safety Day at the US Coast Guard Station.

One of 48!

Grandkid #4 and I planted 48 bulbs last fall. To our surprise the all came up! They’re starting to fade away. Such a short life…. BUT that makes room for more!! Some are in my tomato bed. Can I plant around the bulbs? Or should I move them until the fall? Thanks in advance!—Sharon

Docksiders Report From Hawaii

Leah Lovasco Writes in-

42 out of the 50 on the Docksider trip to Hawaii decided to climb to the top of Diamond Head.  The hike was 0.8 miles each way and climbs 560 feet up from the crater floor.  There was 287 steep steps, long lighted tunnels and uneven terrain.  It took all of us approximately 1.5 hours to do the round trip hike.  A killer workout!
