Music, when soft voices die, vibrates in the memory
My mom died Tuesday night. She sang beautifully and loved music. She would accompany herself on our piano, often singing with my grandmother. She took me to the “King and I” when I was very young and then to “West Side Story”. She and my dad would take me to jazz jams when I was a baby. Music was her passion, and she passed it on to so many of us.
Thanks, Mom, for sharing it with me. I love you!

A few words from Mr. Dave Sags himself,
Sick and tired of the same old thing? Wanna add some voltage to your puny, miserable existence? Do you feel like slashing your ankles everytime you look in the mirror, or while reading the Herald? Then, maybe I can help you out. You need my new recession eraser: Mr. Larry Sortwell. Hobgoblin on glitar, menace to the Muses, and snake oil singer. This guy is something else, and a truly wonderful cat to work with, too. But don’t just believe me, czech it out for yooself. You’ll throw those razor blades away for good , this time.
Pushing good ol’ L-man over the top will be Jeff Casper, the friendly drummer, a fugitive from these parts since he caught the Katy. Be good to see him, for a change. And, of course, Greg “Whammy Bar” Tower and myself will be there too. You’ll never be the same. Don’t ever change.

WCVB Channel 5 Visits The Dock and Shows Some Love To GMG

This morning Todd Kazakiewich from Channel 5 stopped by the dock to get the scoop on the triple pincher lobster that had a brief stay with us at the dock.
His excellent reporting getting all the facts straight and linking back to GMG gets him the Gold Star of reporting for the day. He even resisted the urge by other reporters to label me a captain or a lobstermen despite me clearly stating otherwise:)
Here is an excerpt but you should go to the site where they show video of us at the dock-

Three-Clawed Lobster Takes Dealer By Surprise
BOSTON —
Joey Ciaramitaro found a triple-pincer in a shipment that he received Saturday at the wholesale business he owns with his cousin.
Lobsters usually have a crusher claw and a pincer claw. This lobster has an extra pincer. It’s an unusual sight even for a veteran lobster dealer.
Thanks Todd!

Gloucester lobster dealer Joey Ciaramitaro has seen a lot of strange creatures over the years.
Just look at his slideshow, “Freaks of The Lobster and Crab World.”
Now he has a new entry.
Over the weekend he discovered a triple pincher clawed lobster.
“I’ve never seen anything like this one,” he says in a video of the lobster posted on his blog, Good Morning Gloucester. “He’s got three pinchers on his pincher claw.”

Thanks to WBZ for linking back to Good Morning Gloucester – Good Form
It’s amazing to me how many media outlets are happy to use the pictures but don’t hyperlink back to the source. I wonder why that is. Look for my scorecard on how each media outlet handled the use of our material after tomorrow. So far there was WBZ radio this morning. Fox news last night, WCVB Channel 5 to look forward to tonight, the Boston Herald this morning. I’ll grade how well or how bad they messed up or neglected to cite or credit the source.
Update: Channel 5 just swung by to do a segment for tonight’s newscast. look for my ugly mug tonight.
ART ROCKS! Again?
“ART ROCKS”
Went down to Cressy’s Beach to cool off Sunday. While I was there The mood hit me to sketch and leave a couple of “Art Rocks” If someone finds them they can keep’em, toss’em or pass them on. As Debbie Clarke’s saying Goes, “Art or not Art” That is the question. Or just Graffiti? Debbie is my Inspiration for these Rocks.
If I get Feedback from the Finders I’ll post them here on GMG.
