Cape Ann Brewing Just Killing It With This Tasty Haddock Sangie
Joey C Tip of the day-
Hold the tah tah sauce and order a side of cocktail sauce to spice this bad boy up. Then drizzle a little of that killer diller home made hot sauce they got behind the bar and you’ve got yourself a fan-freaking-tastic Haddock sandwich. Boom!
Big ups for the nice crispy fries as well.

Easter Bunny Cookies With Sista Felicia at The Gloucester Daily Times Taste of The Times
From The GDT:
Felicia Mohan grew up waiting for Easter so she could eat these cookies her grandmother made. After her grandmother retired in Florida and was no longer around for Easter, her Aunt assumed the responsibility and now she has herself. The secret is to use this Italian pastry dough recipe, decorate your own Easter eggs with your kids, make a simple frosting using fresh lemon, and top with brightly colored sprinkles.

Recipe: Pink Lemonade Jello Shots
I had a blast at the GMG/Bodin Photo Spring Fling. Happy to get to meet everyone and hang with the GMG crew. If you were there hopefully you got to have one of the pink lemonade jello shots I made before they were all consumed.
Here’s the very simple step by step recipe:
(Makes about 40 jello shot slices)
What you’ll need:
10 lemons
1 package of jello ( I used strawberry/banana)
1 cup of vodka

Directions:
1. Wash Lemons, cut in half, and scoop out fruit (I put the lemon guts in the freezer for future use)
2. Place lemon haves upright in a cake pan or similar pan (make sure it fits in the fridge)
3. Follow the directions on the Jello box and make the Jello, but instead of 1 cup cold water, replace with 1 cup vodka
4. Once jello is mixed pour into the lemon “cups”, try to fill to brim
5. Put in fridge to set (usually 4 hrs)
6. When Jello is firm take out and use a sharp knife to slice the halfs in half, so you have nice 1/4 slices.
And Voila!
Some Notes: The Jello will take on the flavor of the lemon rind & vodka. Depending on the size of the lemons you may need another Jello box to fill all 10 lemons. You can also use limes or oranges- try red jello & limes and add black sesame seeds to look like little watermelon slices.
I think for our next GMG shindig I’ll make Orange Jello shots with Vanilla vodka- A la Creamsicles!
Enjoy!

Head To The Fort Square Café ASAP! The Lucky Table Is Back!!!!
Ron Ross has refinished this classic tabletop with boats from Gloucester’s past fishing fleet and they are installing it in the window seat. There has been 3 $15,000 winning scratch tickets scratched at this table as legend goes (hence the title lucky table).
While at the Fort Square Café you can get one of Heidi’s OUTSTANDING muffins, listen to the single most entertaining breakfast counter man in the business Rusty Shatford and try Heidi’s latest creations the stuffed breakfast pepper.
That table has a ton of history on it with the old photos and stories from Gloucester’s fishing fleet so get there early and try to snag “the lucky table!”

Passports Wine Tasting Diner Tomorrow! Thursday March 29
Rubber Duck checked out the Passports Wine Dinner last month and she is still flapping her rubber wings about it. Passports does it again tomorrow and you may still have time to get a reservation. Well worth it, 978-281-3680. Tell them Rubber Duck sent you.
Last month:
Chili Sullivan leads you through the courses and the wine pairings. I know what you’re thinking, some hoity-toity dude to tell you how to breathe and snort when you taste the wine. That’s not Chili. He tells you where the wine came from, describes the environment so you can imagine the fog rolling over the hills cooling the Grüner Veltliner as it grows to a crisp, tasty grape. He also throws in a little history. Don’t worry, it’s short, painless and you don’t have to put your fork down. And speaking of Grüner Veltliner, which was paired with the Cajun fluke last month, it’s the reason why I’m late with this review. I wanted to add where you can get some in Gloucester but I keep forgetting to check out the white wines when I’m in Sea Breeze picking up my Knockabout Gin. The Grüner Veltiner that Chili served was from Sepp Moser, Austria. Tasty. Rubber Duck wants some more.
