My View of Life on the Dock

You can question my haphazard route, but it’s hard to question the picturesque nature of where we live. Amazing. Home to Manchester from Gloucester, via Magnolia.
Saturday morning saw the first of the Halloween Trick or Treaters with the Wobblin’ Goblins Parade. Starting at Town Hall, the parade proceeded through Town with stops at the stores along the way for treats. The parade ended at the Community Center with a Goblin Party.
With a 22-18 win over the Amesbury Indians Friday night at Hyland Field, the Manchester Essex Hornets secured their place in the post season playoffs. Coming from behind several times in the game, the Hornets fought back and put it away with a touchdown and 2 point conversion with less than 40 seconds left to play. A key to the win had to be the late 4th quarter defensive stop made by the Hornets on a 3rd and VERY short attempt by Amesbury setting up the offense with good field position and just enough time.

At Hyland Field in Manchester the Boys Varsity Soccer team took on the Georgetown Royals in their final game of the season. At the half the Hornets were up 1-0 but the Royals fought back in the second half with 2 goals and took the win with a final score of 2-1

The Lady Hornets celebrated Senior Night at Hyland Field and after presenting the Ipswich Seniors flowers the Manchester Essex Seniors were announced and joined at midfield by their parents. The Hornets went on to play a strong game and seemed to gain momentum in the second half but fell to the Ipswich Tigers 3-2.
Hi Joey,
On a recent visit to the railways, I snapped this shot of a Schooner Roseway crewmember who seemed to be right at home as he sat atop one of the masts.
Enjoy!

While in New York recently I checked out a fruit and vegetable cart at 93rd and 2cnd. Got to speak with a few other people at the cart too. Overall pretty grumpy crowd of former football and baseball fans… Even though they decided I was not to be liked, I was allowed to represent GMG!
