Good Harbor Beach Surfers

I headed out to capture some footage during the epic 40 degree heat wave on Sunday. I came across some guys who where also a little restless to get back to the great outdoors. I never met them, so I don’t have their names. I shot some pretty cool video, but I thought I would share some snap shots first. Now you have to have a very solid set of stones to paddle out in these waters this time of year. New England has some pretty decent waves in the off season, so it’s not really ever “off-season” for the surfers. If you know these kats, tell them to hit me up!

A fair heads-up to all dog owners! Your responsibilities as an owner doesn’t change during the winter. Even when you think nobody is around, they are. And they’re watching you. Even during today’s conditions, the police where giving out $100.00 citations today to people not picking up their poop. Meanwhile, Ruby was having a blast! Icebergs over 2 1-/2 ft tall!

Don’t stop believing!

I was given a fair warning about what days are off-leash days by a very kind woman from the GPD/Animal control. Good Harbor is EVEN days off-leash, and Wingaersheek is ODD numbered days. If you get caught leaving, or covering up ya poop, you will get a $100 ticket, no excuses!! This is our amazing island, let’s not trash it up! While I was trying to shoot a video on the best shovel, and shove techniques to use, the FEDEX truck got stuck on my street here in the Bayview area of Gloucester. After some attempts to dig them out, a very kind local named Forest comes up the other direction behind me. We came up with a plan, then I grabbed my cam.  BAAAM….#becausegloucester

Yep, it’s pure chaos out here at the “Ghetto Shaw’s ” today because of Blizzard 2015. It’s 10:30 am, and simply too late to prepare for the worst. I would suggest going to the “Gucci” Shaw’s, or the “Beverly Hills Basket” where I hear is the only place to for for essentials.

No chance at the deli.

The end of the eggs.

Dairy is all but gone.

Wow, it’s a rat race.

Need a brush or shovel? Nope.

And the check out lines? INSANE! Backed all the way up to the crappy tabloid zines!

Who’s ghetto now? You can stand in line like the gubment is handing out cheese, or come to the hood and grab a few things. Thank you “South Side Shaw’s” for making my day!
