Hi and Happy Easter.
I am not sure if you are willing to print this sort of announcement, but I see your newsletter as THE primary communication media on Cape Ann and I hope you will consider spreading this message for me. Our non-profit is national. I have placed 5 rescued Leonbergers in Gloucester/Rockport over the past years. There are also a handful of these dogs sprinkled around Essex County. I am so grateful to the local folks who donated auction items that I hope to thank them publicly so that others know they have kind hearts. Thanks for reading below. I have also attached 2 photographs of my Leonberger dog — my own rescue that I pulled from a MO puppy mill with 5 others. (My “Kato” is fighting brain cancer.)
Thanks, Joey,
Karen Grossman

Revisiting 2 Coyote vs 1 Deer With A What Would You Do Poll
Here’s the video shot by Shawn Henry which garnered a huge media response.
Now the question is if it had been you inside your home watching this unravel, what would you have done? Would you have watched from inside the confines of your home?
Would you have gone outside and try to defend the deer with a hockey stick or baseball bat?
I’ve been hearing from many a Monday morning quarterback on what they would have done.
Me, I’m a complete chickenshit when it comes to wild animals. I’m not gonna pretend that I’m so manly that I woulda gone out there and wrestled with the coyotes like some people act like they would have done.
So let’s poll it and I’ll leave an option open for other answers.

Chickity Check It! Turbine Meeting Breakdown from Gail McCarthy at The Gloucester Daily Times
March 30, 2013
Turbines spark quick $60K city savings
By Gail McCarthyStaff Writer
The towering wind turbines rising above Blackburn Industrial Park have already translated into revenue with the city, clearing $60,000 in the first three months, according to Mayor Carolyn Kirk.
That was just one element of information shared Thursday night by Kirk and three experts at a wind energy panel discussion that prompted more than 300 Gloucester and Rockport residents to flock to the Sawyer Free Library for a panel discussion on wind energy.
Within three months worth of performance, Kirk said this year’s revenue projection for this calendar year will be $430,000. The only reason that is below the $450,000 estimate is that in the first few months of operation, there were glitches that needed to be addressed and required the turbines to be turned off. Once the operation is in full swing, Kirk said the city will be on track to meet its savings projections.

James and Anna Eves From Cape Ann Giclee Have Some Nice Things To Say
I listened with my headphones with the volume pumped up. I look forward to more. Of course we loved Joey discussing his addiction to the live feed of the GMG FOB show setup at our studio because the Joey texts of “Tell Craig to get out of way” “i can’t see Donna but I can hear her” or on our 9:00 am coffee stop “Where are you?the live stream is off” made the setup more lighthearted and fun but more importantly because he really got to the heart of the whole thing – community. Joey has managed to put together a group of contributers who are strong, smart, creative accomplished individuals, a truly diverse group of people who come together in the most incredible way and work together without egos getting in the way. As a new business to Gloucester we had no idea what to expect in terms of how we would be received, we knew there was a need for what we do but had no idea how the community would react or if people would even know we were here – thanks to Joey and GMG contributors like Alicia, Kim, Brian, Donna, Father Green, Ej, Kathy they do now. I had been a reader of GMG, watched the Ziptrip episode on Gloucester I knew GMG and Joey were a social media powerhouse and so appreciate all the mention we get on this blog, most new customers who come in are ones who read about us in the blog. But despite being such an incredible force in the community Joey and all the GMG contributors are the most down to earth, nicest, funniest, most joyful group of people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Their focus is not on themselves and personal gain, their focus is on the community and creating and doing positive things and having fun while they do it – this is group of people driven to create in truly positive ways – thank you for allowing us to be a part this incredible community, it’s a blast!
