How to vote In The GMG CUTEST DOG CONTEST WITH PRIZES FROM SEAPORT VETERINARY HOSPITAL

Important! You need to let the voting page load by clicking on the title and letting the entire post load. A vote is not recorded by clicking on a picture or by leaving a comment. You need to vote on the poll that is provided just below the SeaPort Vet logo. You only get one vote.

Here is an example from a screen capture on my phone of what to look for. You will only see the poll ONCE all the photos are loaded. Once ALL the doggo photos are loaded, then the poll pops up. If you click on the photos without letting it all load you’ll probably have issues and not see the poll. This is due to the huge number of entries. I think it’s 159 dog photos need to load before the poll will pop up and that’s a lot of computing power.

Click this video for an example of what to look for-

Here is a flyer with voting instructions please read entirely.

Two Exciting Experience Weeks in June: Have Your 4th-8th Grade Student Join Us! Click To Learn More About Both Weeks

Immediately after the academic year end and before our summer program begins, Harborlight Montessori offers two robust and fun Experience Weeks. Students in grades 4th-8th are invited to register to join us.

MUSUEM SCHOOL

Upper School (4th -8th grade)
Monday, June 20 through Friday, June 24

Did you know that Massachusetts has 228 museums? During this week, students will visit a different museum each day to explores themes in art, history, and science. Harborlight will equip each student with a sketchbook/observation journal for taking notes and drawing. They will explore exhibits and galleries, roam the grounds and halls, think critically, examine purposefully and be immersed in culture. They will also complete a scavenger hunt in Boston that highlights some of the city’s most spectacular murals and street art. The notes they take, memories they record, and images they sketch will serve as a visual diary of their studies.

MAIN STREETS AND BACK ROADS

Upper School (4th-8th grade)

Monday, June 27 through Friday, July 1

Much like Chronicle’s Main Streets and Back Roads, students will explore gardens, footpaths, statues, parks, trails, waterfronts, and more of our neighboring cities and town. Students will visit Gloucester, Salem, and Newburyport to explore tourist attractions, off-the-beaten-path destinations, notable architecture, and the hidden ‘quirky-corners’ of these communities. While on campus they will design a destination brochure for an imaginary  city or town of their own that is inspired by their favorite sights, sounds, and flavors from the week’s adventures.

West Gloucester Eagle

I came across this beautiful eagle in West Gloucester sitting in the tree as if waiting for a portrait session! 500 plus photos later, here are a few. Just stunning. We are blessed that the bald eagle has made such an amazing recovery from being endangered within my lifetime. We can do the same for other at-risk creatures! GLOUCESTER MEETINGHOUSE AUDIENCE RAISES OVER $4,500 FOR UKRAINE RELIEF

GLOUCESTER MEETINGHOUSE AUDIENCE RAISES OVER $4,500 FOR UKRAINE RELIEF

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—PHOTO ATTACHED                                                                                  Tuesday, March 22, 2022

An audience that applauded the return of live concerts to the Gloucester Meetinghouse on Sunday also brought compassion as they
gave more than $4,500 to support war relief efforts in the Ukraine by the International Rescue Committee.

The concert, a “Bach Birthday Bash” to mark the 337th birthday of famed composer Johann Sebastian Bach, attracted close to
200 listeners to the Meetinghouse, the oldest standing church edifice in Gloucester and home to the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church.

The concert featured harpsichord, violin, organ and vocal selections from Bach’s diverse repertoire and was presented by the
Gloucester Meetinghouse Foundation, an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to preserving the historic building and
increasing its use for public functions. The performance ended with the Ukrainian National Anthem, whose words include,
“Our enemies shall vanish like dew in the sun; soul and body shall we lay down for our freedom.”

This was the first of three spring concerts scheduled after two years of coronavirus pandemic conditions brought the suspension
of nearly all open public events at the Meetinghouse. The next concert, scheduled for Sunday, May 1, will be a Holocaust memorial
performance featuring a specially commissioned orchestral work to be presented jointly by Temple Ahavat Achim and the
Meetinghouse Foundation. The final concert on Sunday, May 22, will present the Appleton Consort, performing Bach on
period instruments including the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5.

The large response for Ukrainian war relief through a free-will offering surprised Meetinghouse Foundation president Charles Nazarian.
“We were greatly encouraged by this outpouring,” he said. “It far exceeded all our expectations, showing the concern and great generosity
of our community concerning the struggle for freedom in Ukraine.” Admission to the concert itself was free, underwritten by the
Foundation’s annual concert sponsors.

The Meetinghouse Foundation provides a permanent base for secular support to preserve one of Gloucester’s most revered historic buildings,
built in 1806 as the home of the first Universalist church in America. The Foundation is modeled on a nonprofit that supports Boston’s famed Old North Church.

Information about upcoming concerts and events, the Foundation, and an internet link to a YouTube recording of Sunday’s Bach birthday concert,
is available at www.gloucestermeetinghouse.org.

Harbor

I love how the harbor and waterfront changes each day…. depending on the weather, who is in or out fishing, who is unloading etc. All was quiet the other day as a deep fog encased the outer harbor.
