Veterans Day Goes Virtual Today

Gloucester Veterans Day Virtual Ceremony details from their Facebook event page:

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic and the current restrictions on group numbers Cape Ann Veterans Services has joined with 1623 Studios to produce a pre-recorded Veterans Day Ceremony. Please join us on Wednesday November 11, 2020 to honor and celebrate our Veterans. Links and times are as follows:

Christine Norris Submits “New banner rose on the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse on Middle Street.”

As the leaves fell and the votes were counted a new banner rose on the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse on Middle Street. It proclaims “Help Mother” with an image of Mother Earth. Congregation member Sally Waite, who has been making banners in Gloucester since Covid 19 and in Portland for years before that, loves Gloucester’s Babson Boulders. Sewed into her new banner, Roger Babson’s nearly 100 year old message about family responsibility takes on a new meaning, reminding us to respect the interdependent web of existence we all depend on.

The tooth fairy is not my friend these few months.  Sadly a tooth that has been on the edge for a year gave up the ghost last weekend.  I have an appointment with the endontist on Thursday am to take out the tooth.  So no Nia or Restorative Yoga on Thursday.  Classes resume on Monday November 16th!
