I was in Lake Placid N. Y. in the stadium attending the U. S., Russian hockey game. My brother and family lived in Tupper Lake N. Y. and invited me a yr before the Olympics, as they had early access to tickets. I gave them tickets for Christmas and picked out three contests I would like to see. One being a hockey game. Not knowing of course what would come before my eyes. I can’t tell you how I felt, except I felt the arena rocking and rolling. It was FABULOUS! My story of the Lake Placid Olympics is one of the most exciting times in my life. When have you ever seen a speed skater win five medals? If you ever get the chance to attend a winter Olympics, pack your bag and GO!
