What exactly does this mean? The state owns St. Ann’s Rectory? Wow.

Would someone care to interpret this for the rest of us who speak merely simple English? Exactly who are the parties involved? Has this been an ongoing dispute?

#58 Prospect St. is the former St. Ann High School. not the Rectory building.

Jeanne Smith is correct. The building in question is the St. Mary Chapel Building that is currently empty. Holy Family Parish has been working with the Archdiocese for 10 years to clear the title to this building. Even though it has been in parish use for about 100 years, the paperwork to show that Sawyer Foundation gave it to the parish is missing or lost. So in order for the parish to do anything with the building (sell, tear down, etc.) we need clear title. This notice is the process to get the title clear.
Hope this helps.
Joe
