“Rocky Neck master oil painter, Stephen LaPierre, is having a special reception this Sunday, Aug 26th,  to introduce his  current Rocky Neck Plein Air Collection at his studio/gallery at 75 Rock Neck Ave, 2nd floor (next to The Rudder).  The Clam-Digging Mermen, (bango/fiddle/bass) playing blue grass, jug band, blues and folk will entertain gallery visitors from 6-9PM that day.

Stephen has completed a dozen paintings of the Neck, this past spring and summer…trying to capture the dwindling historic architecture.. still remaining along the Neck’s lanes and shore,  as well as capturing current day village and harbor views… historical or not, that surround his year-round Rocky Neck studio/gallery/home…Some of these pieces have been painted in the early morning… others capture the late afternoon light… while others are painted at night. Rocky Neck neighbors, and those who have a soft-spot in their hearts for the Neck…. are especially welcome!”
