2017 RCD Grants for Festivals and Events

Purpose:

To give material support to arts and culture events to help draw cultural tourists to the Rockport Cultural District, especially during the shoulder seasons of Spring & Fall

Requirements:

• Event or festival must be held in Rockport and sponsored by a Rockport group
• The arts or culture activities must be a significant part of the event
• The event must appeal to and attract visitors from beyond Cape Ann

Use of Funds:

• Up to $400 can be used for general expenses related to stated grant activities as the  organizer sees fit
• A minimum of 20% ($100) must be used for advertising & promotion

Allocation of Funds:

The RCD may make up to 6 grants. Application deadline is June 26, 2017.

• Once the grant is approved, receipts/invoices must be submitted along with             name/address of person to be reimbursed; The Town does not pay tax; A tax exempt certificate will be provided for material costs
• RCD will process reimbursements through Town Accounting Office; expect a 4 week turnaround

Partnership with the RCD:

• Grant recipients must include the Rockport Cultural District logo in            advertising/promotional materials related to the event/festival
