1950’s Fiesta Photos

My Aunt and Uncle, Sharon and Wayne Martin, sent me a few slides they found in their photo collection from St. Peter’s Fiesta taken sometime in the 1950’s which I have converted to digital format.    I love looking at the old photos and I hope someone can recognize the locations, people or exact year they may have been taken.

  1. Thinks some are around the hill and pictures later 50’s – 1960’s been a long time ago so some locations in town changed a lot I know that is not much help but I love the walk back…I remember Stacy Blvd and main street had quite a bit of action and booth close to the cut bridge.
Us children loved the seafood booth Go figure, of course grilled burgers and dogs, snow-cones had a rainbow even then, and other local classics. I remember there was a dinner close to north Shore theater or not far looked like something out Steve MCQueens the blob! Dave:-)

  2. Most of these photos are from the Portuguese blessing of the fleet. Note the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, the state fish pier and East Main Street locations.
