    1. Capt. Dave my name is Bob Ould and i use to fish on charter boats for a living in Miami Beach Fla.About 12 years. Started out on drift boats and moved up to charter boats.when i was working on the drift boat Capt. Bob Lewis invented kite fishing. We were the first ones to start kite fishing on a drift boat with great sucess. Blue runners were the prefered live bait but anything will work. After watching all your shows i was surprised that none of the boats had a kite up with two live baits on top of the water tearing up the surfuss of the water catching tuna. The kite has two release clips on the line. You put a lose swivel on the line above the swivel that goes to your leaders. Then you put the other end into the release clips as the kite goes in the air there is a built in stop that catches the release pin and it goes up in the air as you let out the kite along with your live bait. So the rod that you have your live bait on is set on free spool with the clicker on. When the kite is out your line goes up to the release clip witch alowes you to reel the bait right on top of the water. What you want is just the top of the back of the bait just bearly out of the warter. That bait will try to get away and it will tear up the water. You can fish two live baits at a time. If you put out two kites thats four live baits on top of the water at the same time and something going to get hit. I would think kite fishing while your sitting in one sopt would fit like a glove and give you an edge on the other boats. Give me a call i would to talk to you on the phone. You know how a fishing brother hood is the best.keep a tite lineand remember it takes two jerks to catch a fish one on each end of the line!!! Good luck this year. Bob 706 490 3206 ps i would have love to have been with you when you were trolling in North Carolina . I rigg baileyhoo mullet mackrel and still have a few tricks i learned. from some great Captains Red Steward who was the captian of the boat that caught the world record black marlin. 1560 lbs. In South America. His mate Teddy Brenner was my captain and tought me how they rigged baits to swim right all the time and trolling speed is key.
