It’s $6.75 for six cases or 72 cans, less than a dime a piece. The Raman Noodles of its day although back then a dime could get you a cheeseburger.

From my younger Cape Ann days, I recall Gorton’s seafood offerings, but as a by now long-time resident of Seattle, I remember Slade Gorton as a Republican U.S. Senator from Washington State. I always thought it a little strange that someone whose roots were (I believe) in Annisquam, should represent the rich folks of the Northwest. But that’s life, and politics.
