This year he will get a federal credit for $10,000 as well as a state credit for $1500

What people may or may not understand is that there have been mandates to get states to get to certain percentages of green energy use and they are practically giving away these programs to try to get to those numbers.  These credits and incentives are not going to last forever so you’d be foolish not to take advantage while they are available.
