These kids go to school in Swampscott High for the record…
Hey Joey
Definitely News worthy….. very few days with seas under 9 feet… and some over 30ft!!! You ever try to take a crap in that kind of weather! Holy Sh…!
A family of four with 2 (courageous) teenagers, 16 and 17, daughter and son, got out of class for the Summer of 2015, and in less than an hour later they were boarding their family sailboat on the way to Europe with 3 good friends… has just docked in the Azores. The trip well was a rough one but they made it safely! A Proud Capt and crew indeed!

For those who have not been following their daily progress and blog, I am happy to report that Tioga and crew have landed in the Azores
The below link gives their report on landing and can also be used to go back and read previous entries and comments.

images: Looking from aft off the Port Side is Cape Ann, Looking from the bow you can see aft of the boat the Boston Skyline on the Horizon about 1800 19 June 2015 the day they left. Images taken from a Jet Ski.
Enjoy!

Peter, great info & so glad you shared it with GMG community. This is right up my alley as crossing Atlantic via sail with a final destination of Horta in Faial, Azores (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faial_Island) is on the bucket list to check off before I kick it. Connections all over the place here – I was raised in Swampscott & my wife left the Azores at age 3 with her family as her parents seeked opportunity in the USA. Safe voyage to all on Tioga!
