  1. Wow Terrific close ups… Thank you for these photo’s… We get them around here on Essex Ave area as well. Godspeed to them not getting hit by a car because I’ve swerved to miss one once before. They just suddenly can jut out of bushes

  2. Absolutely gorgeous and awesome birds! I love to see them when I am up North, visiting home. I am like a kid seeing an exotic animal for the first time! I have always felt that Ben Franklin was absolutely right, and our national bird should be the wild turkey. Not only spectacular looking, but delicious as well! Try eating an eagle for Thanksgiving. Yuck!

  3. Turkey’s are the game for sure tom and his hen puffing up getting ready to dance for sure drag the wings on the ground puff up like the on the move here. Hard finding food under the snow so going mobile! 🙂 Dave & Kim:-)

  4. Nice one Manuel. Where I live the main road through town is just two lanes, with a yellow line. For what seems like years two turkeys have been standing tall on the line or in mid lane, causing regular traffic backups. They know what they are doing. After all, their ancestors were around long before motor vehicles intruded. Locals have all kinds of nicknames for them — I like “Thelma and Louise.”
