As long as supplies last if any GMG folks want a bumper sticker but can't drop down the dock, just send a self addressed and stamped envelope longer then 7 and a half inches and I'll drop one in the mail for you.
Send the self addressed and stamped envelope to the dock at 95 East Main St Gloucester Ma 01930 care of Joey (put my name in big letters to make sure it gets to me)

Grow a tree. Chop it down. Truck it hundreds of miles. Throw it away. Thirty five million every year in the USA.
How about planting a living tree or donating the money to a nature organization? Trees are people too!

What’s the difference? Tree Farms Grow trees. Corn, Apple, Vegatable Farms grow their stuff for sale and replant just like tree farms.

The children’s expressions of anticipation and delight at the Beverly Tree Farm were priceless–just look at Nichole’s children’s faces in her post today! Yes, plant a tree too if you’d like!

Vegetable are eaten and a necessary part of our food chain. Cutting down a tree that provides food and shelter for birds and squirrels and even insects and oxygen….. just for decorative purposes seems like a waste to me but planting a real one, watching it grow and decorating it out in the backyard year after year as it grows,,,,,,sounds like a good idea to me.

What we did is buy live tree and then plant it where it’s not as cold or have as much snow…Did hole before ground freezes – stored the soil in burlap bags shed…Had one by the front gate about 6-8 feet high…Or mulch them and put back into the earth… but then some one with a saw jumped over the fence and cut it down to about feet for their X-mas tree. The little tree is still there today stunted for a while but we cut branch back to the living side remaining living bark will slowly grow over the injured area. and upward toodesire is to let the tree get tall again, standing tall tall!
