Wonderful image, Fred.
From my perch above Jones Creek, I could see that amazing light first touch Thurston Point and the wind turbines and then gradually creep over the river to envelope West Gloucester. I didn’t even try to photograph it; I didn’t know where to start. It reminded me of some scenes from Winter’s Tale.

Thanks Marty, I personally think that luck and effort has a lot do do with making a good photo. I also agree with what they say at the National Geographic: “Being there is half the work of getting the picture.”

There’s nothing like a hot shower after an experience like that.

Hi Sharon, At the short period of time that this sunset occurred, I’m sure there were hundreds of great locations on Cape Ann. This one just happened to me mine.
