  2. Jimmy Stavros was supposed to be my mother’s godfather but my grandmother thought he was too “wild.” I remember him as a big bear of a Zorba. He and my grandfather were partners and great friends. It’s a beautiful piece of land and I’m so glad he left it for posterity.
