Wonderful film, a precious memento of the age of the great fishing vessels. Nice to know the tradition is well and alive in Essex, we can all be proud of the men who keep it going ….and go sailing on their ships, be a part of history. thank you !

I am confused . I believe the St. Rosalie was build by my Grandfather Sam Parisi during the 40’s. My Ma, Lena (Parisi) Novello use to tell the story of why my grandfather build the St. Rosalie and named his youngest daughter Rosalie , my aunt Pobe, in honor of St. Rosalie. He felt St. Rosalie saved him and his sons when their boat. He saw an Image of St. Rosalie appear in the clouds just before the boat that finally saved them also appeared.. . It sure looks like my Aunt Pobe christening the St. Rosalie in video.
