I’m so sad that our own Joey C. must have snuck off to the bathroom just before I snapped this pic. He was commiserating with these fellow Jeter fans about the end of an era, but needed to excuse himself to get composed after some tears were shed.
On another note, Tasty Burgers are indeed T.A.S.T.Y. I had the Gorgonzola Burger (fantastic) and a super yummy Whale’s Tale from Nantucket’s own Cisco Brewery. Ok….maybe 2 Whale’s Tales.
So, baseball is over for another 188 days….or a mere 142 if you start counting back from when pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training…and Jeter is gone. BUT…Tasty Burger is still there, and if you haven’t been there for some indulgent grub, you’re missing out a bit.

Yankees may be able to make the playoffs next year because now they might get a shortstop that could range to his left. Jeter should have hung them up a few years back.
But onto edibles. I eat lunch around the Fenway area around 250 times a year so I have watched eateries come and go. Tasty Burger is on my top twenty but might not break the top ten since there are so many good places with Thai, Mexican, Sushi, burgers, burgers and burgers. I’ll post my top twenty later.
But my recent find you will laugh at but for quick and cheap eats it is killer. The Star Market on Boylston and Kilmarnock had a huge facelift recently. Not like every other supermarket I know that had a facelift and now the store is full of organic that is 45 bucks a pound.
No, The Boylston Star actually went cheaper. Bananas, apples, carrots to add to a lunch, apples 1.49 a pound, oranges 1.19 a pound. Sure there is a little wing of organic but they have an alarm around it that goes off if you mistakenly pick up a 30 dollar orange.
But the killer is the prepared foods first aisle, six different chicken wings, ribs, and ribs, mashed potatoes, gravy, brisket, stew, onion rings, it keeps going. By the pound you can keep a humongous lunch under 6 bucks.
Also a Starbucks inside the store there must be five Starbucks within a half mile. Love my Pumpkin Latte.
