Sea gulls are not fussy eater’s – remember reeling in a mackerel off the outer break wall lanes cove 1965-66? The gull swooped down grabbed it as skimmed surface took off until line pulled it out of beak – lucky didn’t get hooked out came the mackerel…Needless to say gull got it anyway when the force of both pulled the hook out fish fell into Ipswich bay.
