It is time for our annual Plunge.!!!!!!
Please join us for this invigorating event. Once again, we will be running a
food drive for the Open Door . A van will be available at the entrance of beach
to leave food.
Location: Oak Cove Beach. Rocky Neck. Just off of Stevens Way.
Date: 1/1/2014
Time: 2pm. Due to the tide
What to bring: Beach shoes as it is a rocky beach. Non-perishable food. ( we
can also take checks made out to The Open Door)

Found and blew up the Rubber Duck ring this morning. It needs a little heat gun treatment or it’s going to be a tight fit. Training regime of turning the shower to ice cold for the last ten seconds starts … the day after Christmas.

Oh the brave dip did that a time or two in the quarries had to break the ice there and always tided a rope around your waste – with others with you…Not a safe way – better to go to shore like the picture. But when we came out looked like a boiled Lobster red red! Bumpity bump look at frosty go! :0

When we were kids on this same beach…late 40s- early 50 we would go in (over your head) usually on a Sunny day…if ya didn’t do it you are a dhicken and everyone would know except our parents. Cold memories !

Due to the tide time, I won’t be able to jump with everyone, there is no way to thaw out, do my hair and make up in time to be at City Hall at 4pm. I will still be there but no jumping in for me!!
