I spoke with Police Chief Leonard Campanello today about the Rogers St. construction site where the stairs once were. The official plan is for 5 to 10 new parking spaces and some pleasant landscaping to be completed by Spring 2014. The work is being done by Gloucester Dept. of Public Works under the the direction of Mike Hale.
The entrance to the GPD/Courthouse will be via the stairs that now exist from the current parking lot on Rogers St.

Maybe this would be a good spot for a butterfly and bee-friendly garden instead of a swath of lawn that has to have someone be paid to cut it.

I can still see my hose hooked up, sure hope they shut off the water and I will be able to use this hose to water our downtown garden?
