It’s that time of year. Ringo Tarr and crew set up the Kent Circle Christmas tree Friday November 15th. Ringo Tarr and Joe Novello traveled to Nova Scotia to pick up the tree.
The Santa parade a part of the tree lighting will step off about 3:00 pm Sunday December 1st from the state fish pier in Gloucester.
The parade route is Parker street to Main street to Western ave. and ends at Kent Circle for the annual Christmas tree lighting with Santa and Mrs. Clause.

With the scent of the Holiday filling the air
We once again circle our Christmas tree
Which has become a hometown gathering
For all Gloucester children to see
With the parade once again leading the way
To this circle of youth filled hearts
Watching the girls and boys at their play
Anxious for the Festivities to start
In the lighting of this special tree
Those gathered here to celebrate the Saviors birth
Have but one very special wish
That of a never ending Peace and Goodwill on earth
May the illumination of this tree
Bring to all a spirit of happiness and cheers
Through the vision of youth we’ll see
This gathering continued for many more years

Anthony – Good one I am a big fan of the live tree’s – dad planted one in out front yard and grew very nice considering location was hot shaded by a big elm… …Somebody jumped over the fence on a December night and cut about half of a 13-14 foot tree’ Lived through it and did grow not so much up but out…despite..Much to be thankful and relfect on past year for blessing to all- 🙂
