I hope my photographs and poetry(?) reflect my love for this place and her people. I really like this one, Marty. The combination of shapes is intriguing . It shows how interesting the built environment can be even when it is haphazard and gritty.

Very nice shoot here like peaking around the corner of the build and opening up to the view! 🙂

My grandfather was a fisherman (Sicilian), Mike Frontiero, and I guess one of his ansestors could have rowed Christ out to walk on the water, on the other side (Irish) Hilary McKinnon after 13 years in the Navy my other grandfather left after WWI to open various waterfront buisnesses, including a couple machine shops so I spent a lot of my youth along the water front. I’ll never forget the lifeboats lashed aft of the pilot house with bottoms much like the one shown in the pictures and lack of fishermen who could swim. I understand boards shrink but dependant upon if you could fit your hand or whole arm between them getting off the big boat into the little one in a storm didn’t make much sense a the time. Sometimes the govt has done some good in safty requirements, There is an exception to everything I guess.
