To fall back suggests that one must set the clocks one hour back when DST ends. It is associated with the fall (autumn) season because the DST schedule ends in the fall. The fall season and the end of daylight saving time mark a period when the days start getting shorter, with fewer hours of sunlight.

Speaking of fall back time here is one that I was told by some friends that way and is told in native traditions also many tribes fall and winter for reflection of the past year and what awaits on the path ahead.
In many cultures there are stories about acorns that fall to the ground and contemplate their new surroundings. The ones afraid of separation from the tree keep their heads in the mud. When they begin to sprout, they roll in panic, breaking off their chances to grow big and strong. There is always one acorn, however, that feels oneness with its new surroundings. It drinks in the rain and rejoices in the appearance of it sprouts. This one, of course, grows mightily, and becomes a home for many creatures. Maybe people will say we are crazy for taking a stand for character education. But we can all take heart in remembering that every oak tree started out as a nut and stood its ground. – Mitakuye Oyasin Lakota!

You are most welcome thank you! I enjoyed the picture leafs and clock reminder no words needed…:-) This way they do not turn the clocks back and it means paying attention to time differences there in the states don’t want to call before the rooster crows. 🙂

Soon the TV, radio anchors and news business in general will no longer say “set your clocks back tonight” it will be “tonight our clocks will set themselves to EST…” Will miss “setting” clocks.
